News Flash! Here come the School Moose!

Bennington Elementary

moosekiss-for-kidsThe School Moose are so exciting because the children in our elementary schools design and create them…..under the guidance of their teachers.  The kids are so talented, it’s hard to believe they are just youngsters!  The School Moose will be bid upon in a silent auction.  ALL revenues from the School Moose will be returned to each individual school.  Calling all grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and proud parents…….bid on your school’s moose!  It’s a great way to tell the children just how much we appreciate them.  They are the future of Bennington!

I just had to share the first photo of a School Moose!  “Handrew’ was designed by third grader Cooper Maxon!  When art teacher Helen Greene asked Cooper what his inspiration was ……..he replied he’d gotten the idea from  the Bennington Elementary High Five expectations.  This is a new code of  behavior  adoped by the students!  Cooper’s moose design won by a large margin which tells us that this new behavior plan is very popular with our students.  Students working on ” Handrew” were Madelyn Minchew, Emalyn Peacock, Cooper Maxon, Tyler Champagne, Ivy Dewyer, Eric North, Daimyen Scribner-Morales, Kayla Mears, Dakota Collette, Christian Hassett, Peter Drew, Cheyenne Guetti, Emalyn Barber, Julia Kopala, Erica Burgess, Brenden Hay, Brianned Higgins, Marissa North, Kaitlyn Perrone, Darryl Kenyon, Faith Sallivan, Gretchen Sausville and Daisie Therriault.  Here’s a couple of more photos of the kids hard at work.
