MooseFest 2005 artist Suzanne Little Stefanik has illustrated children's books, designed greeting cards, worked as a graphic artist for area businesses, and currently creates and hand-paints her own nationally-distributed line of folk art lamp and chandelier designs for the Country Traditions company in Clarksburg, Massachusetts.
Designing and painting a MooseFest moose means enjoying another artistic dimension, she said.
"Being part of Bennington's MooseFest is not only a privilege, it has been nothing short of exciting and extraordinary," Little-Stefanik said. "It is great to work with such a wonderful bunch of diverse artists and enthusiastic sponsors."
"Evans News, her Patron has been very supportive and interested in the whole creative process," she said. "I am quite fortunate to have them as my sponsor and to be able to work with such a nice group of people. I think Moosefest will be attracting a wealth of attention to Bennington in the months to come."
Little-Stefanik found joy in landscape oil painting when she was 13 years old, and has followed the art in her heart ever since. She was the first artist chosen to participate in the 2004 Sheeptacular event in Pittsfield, Mass., and designed the Sheeptacular pins that promoted the event. She earned an associates degree is visual arts at the Berkshire Community College. Little-Stefanik has won numerous awards from various New England art shows and exhibits, and is a Charles and Helen Deller Arts and Humanities Award winner. She is a member of the National Society of Tole and Decorative Painters, and taught tole and decorative painting.
Suzanne lives on east Road in Adams, Mass. with her husband Thomas and two sons Michael and Christopher.
