Elinor Katz has designed and created "A Moosaic For All Seasons" for Moosefest 2005.
She has a lifelong interest in art and craft and joy in experimenting with a variety of two and three dimensional media. Paint, Fiber and Ceramics have led her to work in "picque assiette" mosaic for the past four years. "Pique Assiette" is the art/craft of creating mosaic designs with pieces of broken china on almost any surface. "It makes me feel good to recycle and be creative at the same time". Each tiny piece of china brings it own history to her creation. There is always "dialogue" between Eli nor and her works; she usually doesn't know what it will look like until it is done! Each piece I create is personal, unique and uninhibited.
