
"Stepping Out, A Night on the Town"

New York artist Bill Brassard and Theresa Shaffe are the proud creators of "Stepping Out, a Night on the Town" for Moosefest 2005. The painted moose depicts a young bull moose leaving his natural woodlands habitat for a night out on the town in Bennington. Complete with top hat, he is bound to get your attention as he stands in front of patron Shaffe's Men's Shop on Main Street.
Bill Brassard was born in Clarksburg, Ma., and currently resides in New York. He is self-taught, and has his work in collections throughout the United States. Bill works in oils, acrylics and watercolors. His preferred
themes are western art, wildlife, and religious art. Bill does paintings as well as murals. He recently completed a 1400 square foot mural in a prayer room in Houston, Texas. The mural completely encircles the room from floor to ceiling. This wonderful creation was featured on a TV news channel in Houston, Texas and was touted as a place to see.
Theresa Shaffe is a life long resident of Vermont. Her love of art began as a child. As a youngster, Theresa won a contest in which she was competing against adults. Theresa worked for seven years as a logo artist and currently enjoys sculpting and painting of landscapes and wildlife. Her
medium is acrylic.
