The talents of MooseFest 2005 artist Keith Bona are regionally recognized; in 2003, Bona completed a 400-square-foot mural at the Vacation Village Resort in Hancock, Mass., and he was among the artists selected to design sheep statues for a 2004 Sheeptacular event in Pittsfield, Mass... His design features a moose blanketed with a computer-generated collage of vinyl-like road signs similar to those posted along Vermont highways, including cow and deer crossing signs. "The trickiest part is wrapping the small signs around narrow body parts like legs and antlers," Bona noted. Bona said he was faced with one challenge early in the artistic process. ŒThe moose wouldn't fit through my studio door," he said. "It was the antlers." The problem was resolved and Bona said he is very pleased to be part of MooseFest 2005. "It's a lot of fun," he said. Bona operates Performa Universal Marketing, a graphic design, printing, and promotional products firm located in North Adams, Mass... The company was presented a national Promotional Product Industry Golden Pyramid Award in 2002 for a non-profit scholarship program promoted with teddy bears.
