Moose Size/Weight:
Moose height 6FT, length 7FT, weight 75 pounds without base. (Weight with concrete base, 475 pounds. Some winning bidders may elect not to pay for shipping of the concrete base, and in that case it will be excluded. The moose can be attached to any secure base with security bolts. There are pre-drilled holes in the fiberglass base of the moose.) Moose is made of re-enforced fiberglass. The rack is re-enforced steel covered with fiberglass. The lower portions of the legs are solid fiberglass.

Weatherproofing:
Various decorations have been used by the artists, either together or separately. These include oil base coats with second coats, fabric, sticks, bark, glass, porcelain, tile and vinyl wrap. They are all finished with DuPont Clear-Coat Automotive finish having at least two coats.
Note: The moose should withstand average wintertime weather conditions (much the same as would your automobile). However, if left out in the weather for several years, an additional application of clear coat would be recommended.

Shipping/Pickup/Insurance:
Buyers are responsible for shipping and insurance costs. All moose must be insured against damage. Buyer can make arrangements to pick up their moose in Bennington at a prearranged time. Buyers can also make arrangements for shipment or delivery by a Moving Company. Representative will attend Gala/Auction.

Payment method:
We accept Visa, MasterCard, or personal check. Personal Checks will be accepted by known bidders. Any unknown bidder checks will be cleared before moose can be picked up or delivered.

All moose may be viewed on the Bennington Moosefest website or in person in Bennington either about town, or at the Bennington Center for the Natural and Cultural Arts on Rte 9, at Gypsy Lane. They will ALL hang out together there on the night of the auction and gala October 29th, including those that have already been sold on eBay or placed on presale at the beginning of Bennington Moosefest 2005.
